What Inspired Me to Write this Novel
It was the profound silence I experienced on a visit to Doubtful Sound on the South Island of New Zealand combined shortly afterwards with the loss of my academic career due to laboratory closures. As I worried about my professional survival, this story of actual survival kept me company.
The Characters
A scientist accused of a serious ethical breach.
A foreign correspondent fleeing an unwanted notoriety.
The two have come to Doubtful Sound seeking peace. But fate has another plan when they are transported to a remote area of the Sound by a man planning to hunt them.
